February thaw - brown and black fuzzy caterpillar, little baby green grasshopper, redwing blackbird rusty hinge call, and - skunk! (No skunk spray smell this time around.)

A young couple, both tall and slim, casual dressed for Spring
Holding hands, swinging, walking on busy Route 140
No sidewalk, didn't matter
Exuding exuberant aura of perfectly matched
Or was it just in my mind
They were perfectly matched
Because it was such a lovely

I've already heard a robin, earlier this year, wondered if it wintered over or was an early arrival.
I've heard a few more.
And redwing blackbirds rusty hinge rasp
Harbinger of Spring,.
Waiting for peepers peeping
Then I'll know its Spring.
